Copy of Human Resource Management: Increasing Your Employees Engagement

There are numerous HRM practices an organization can implement. However, I will focus on employee ownership which increases employee engagement and satisfaction. This practice will boost innovation because employees will be responsible for their work. For example, a department that has one primary function might allow employees the freedom to create their own ways of doing things if the primary goal is being achieved. Hence creating accountability for one’s work, ensure pride and value within the organization. Also, employee ownership provides knowledge sharing and learning within the department and the overall organization. Employees will be more willing to share ideas or their thoughts on matters that could shape the performance of the organization.

HR professionals should consider using the employee ownership practice because it will help employees understand their job duties and the importance of their role within the organization. If properly implemented this practice will boost the morale and ensue everyone is contributing to the success of organization. Once implemented HR professionals will be able to monitor employee’s performance to ensure they are meeting goals. Employee ownership if supported by the entire organization will allow any organization to opportunity to achieve a competitive advantage in the market.
